Valmet Supply Chain Trainee Programme 2023
As a participant in the Valmet Supply Chain Trainee Programme, the selected candidate will play a crucial role in addressing internal supply chain challenges. Responsibilities will include investigating logistical routines, analyzing and optimizing inventory, and contributing to the company’s international logistics standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze Valmet’s existing logistics processes and propose enhancements to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Identify internal supply chain issues, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop progressive solutions to enhance overall performance.
- Support inventory optimization efforts to minimize excess stock, ensure availability of critical components, and optimize inventory levels.
- Map and document internal processes at Valmet’s Johannesburg and Durban offices, fostering knowledge sharing and transparency among teams.
- Acquire knowledge of global logistics practices, inbound criteria, and collaborate closely with international partners to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Assist in the development of a costing model, study factors influencing supply chain costs, and contribute to decision-making processes.
- The Valmet Supply Chain Trainee Programme for 2023 is a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension based on performance.
